I think everyone's safe
I agree that MS laying off people is very unlikely. They're the biggest software company in the world and are still in a very strong position, and 2009 will only bolster that, what with S+S as well as all the new product releases such as Windows 7.
I think Kevin Turner will take his own WPC advice and refuse to participate in this economic downturn...
