Velocity and CloudFront are totally different things
Although both Velocity and CloudFront may have the
word "caching" in their description, they are
completely different products for completely different
usage scenarios. CloudFront is a CDN, which is used
mostly for static "heavy" content that is distributed
geographically to be physically closer to users.

Velocity is a an application object cache that
operates on the server side for reducing the latency
of accessing state information in the database.
