I don't understand why everyone thinks Yahoo is in
trouble? It is still profitable and is generating around a
billion dollars in free cash flow. For some reason, analysts,
writers and bloggers want to compare Yahoo to Google.
There simply isn't a comparison. Yes, Yahoo does have
search. But it is neither a search company nor a
technology company. Yahoo is a media company - think of
it as a television network, but on the web. So, let's start
comparing this thing to CBS, NBC Universal, Disney and
those types of properties. Yahoo doesn't compete with
MSFT or GOOG or APPL or Facebook. It is FOX and CBS.
