Windows team shouldn't talk of upcoming realease features too soon

"All customers ? not just a small, select few beta testers ? want and need to know what kinds of features and fixes are on the Microsoft product roadmaps."

Just to have competitors(like Apple) implement first what they announced and then have Microsoft bashers call them copycat even though they are the creators of the concept/features(such as 3D desktop,almost real time Desktop Search,etc...) ?
Just to have anti-Microsoft accuse them of not implementing announced features the way they should have or at all (WinFS anyone ?) ?
Just like it happen for Vista ?

I think they shouldn't and i overall agree with the current policy of the current Windows team.
Especially when i see the level of nonsense in many threads here at zdnet.com and to some extent zdnet.fr .
Only the customers/partners for whom some new features will have significant planning and/or financial impact need to be aware of what drawbacks and/or advantages these features should have for them.
