Apple should learn
The Mac /PC commercials have certaily contributed to the poor perception of Vista (held by many who have not even tried it). But has it really resulted in surging Mac sales? I think it has done as much to keep people on XP than it has to sell Macs.

Cost is one of the main things driving that. My fifteen year old daughter would rather have the mac portable, but she has a Gateway portable with Vista Premium. $399 from Best Buy. A comparable Mac? $1200 plus. When you have 3 other kids, that matters. She can do her homework and manage her music on either one.

She is also part of the "TV-Pro" group at school (media focused classes and they run a TV station carried by the local cable company). Their media lab has all Macs, but the rest of the school is PCs. I would imagine that is driven largely by cost as well. The Apple ads will probably not change that.

Apple should take a page from MSs book on this one and start telling people what is good about Apple, not what is bad about MS. Coming down on the price wouldn't hurt either.

Granted they ARE funny... ALLOW or DENY?
