Web Designers testing IE by default are ignorant anyway...
Internet Explorer's horrible support for standards barrels down to this: If you are a web designer (or a web developer outsourced to do web design) and are using Internet Explorer as your primary browser for testing purposes you are no less then completely ignorant and incompetent in understanding how the web works.

I test with Firefox by default, debug JavaScript with Opera's superior error console, and confirm standards compliance with Safari. I then create a second style sheet linked by a conditional comment **per** version of Internet Explorer.

Opera's claim is NOT off the deep end and it only goes to show that if you have no clue how professional web design is handled then you shouldn't be criticizing a healthy industry attitude. If it wasn't for this attitude we wouldn't have Firefox and Windows 7 would ship with IE6.
