Tech Journalism disclosure policy
I stumpled on this blog, but reading this and other posts recently make me wonder about the state of IT journalism.

I get the impression that lot of tech journalists are controlling what the consumers should like or buy, as they tend to show lot of bias or un-bais towards certain products/vendors.

I was glad to learn that finanial reporters now have to disclose their portfolio holdings when they make any kind of comment or report about publicly traded company on TV or print media.

I truly believe that we will see different kind of technology journalism if all the tech journalists take a wow and are forced to follow ethical rules of journalism. It would be good to know stocks owned by tech journalists and whether they are getting any kickbacks (salary/compenstation, free hardwre/software products, vacation trips, etc) from certain IT vendors (directly or indirectly) along with their technology related content.

I went through some other posts on this blog, and author of this blog appears nuetral, but here is a key question to IT journalists and some readers.

There are so many IT companies (IBM, Google, Oracle, Sun, SAP, Apple, etc) in the world, but none of the IT oriented sites (eWeek, InfoWorld, ComputerWorld, and ton of other sites) say anything negative about them or their products. Isn't that strange? This shows that some tech journalists are controlling what we should like or dislike.

There appears to be lot of corruption in the IT world, and I am loosing faith in technology journalism.
