Cut back on the MS Kool-Aid dude...
What you fail to see is the cool factor. In order for companies to stand out, they need to be innovative, and improve on their technology. Take Vista for example, it was supposed to be this huge great leap of improvement over the previous Windows XP. It was rushed out the door before it was ready. It broke a plethora of legacy hardware and software. It was bloated to the point where it would only run efficiently on newer much more expensive hardware. So instead of being cool, it was a complete failure and embarrassment for Microsoft. Dell is still making ugly black boxes, and none of the OEM?s are doing anything that one would deem cool.

Now lets take a look at Apple. iPod, iTunes, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Time Machine, Time Capsule, iPhone, etc. All very cool technologies and products. Until Microsoft and its OEM partners can do the same, they will continue to bleed market share.

Plus look at the leadership at Microsoft. Steve Ballmer is a huge embarrassment and should be ousted by its Board of Directors. These are not good times for Microsoft. They seem to shoot themselves in the foot time after time. While Apple has embraced the 21st century, Microsoft seems trapped in its 1990?s mentality.
