What you can do to enhance your credibility
Out of the 150 million Vista owners, what percentage of them have had issues?

Then, when you are done with that, out of the 20 million or so Leopard users, what percentage of them are having problems?

Then, in your never ending spare time, let's hear the percentage of people that have installed latest version of Ubuntu are having problems.

This idea that Vista is another windows ME is so ludicrous and such a lie it stinks. I've worked with Vista some on site and knowing it pleases physicians tells me it's damn good, cause you've not found a critic until you've tried to please a physician.

Now, i finally jumped in and with coupon in hand, got a nice new 17" laptop with brank spanking new penryn 2.5Ghz core 2 duo (*NOTE ZDNet has at least TWO blogs just on the fact APPLE is now using the penryn processer. Don't you see the hypocrisy? Would you see it if it came up and smacked you in the neck even? ), 4 GB of 800 Mhz memory (MBP still uses 667Mhz that i'm aware of), dual 7200 rpm drives (again, you have to go to the almost 3000.00 MBP to get 7200 rpm drives) and half a GB of discrete video RAM on top end nvidia GPU and Vista Ultimate all for 1400.00 bucks. And it's a solid, smart looking machine with great resolution (i took the 1660 X 1050, the 19 x 12 with full 1080i res was available for few hundred more but i don't have time for movies and games anyway) and of course the web cam and mic in the bezel, fingerprint reader, carrying case and printer. All for less than half of a MBP. It's a very well crafted machine and the 64 bit vista ultimate screams on it. Everything is instantaneous for the most part. There is nothing about it to complain about whatsoever. It has drivers for all my hardware, I loaded a ton of MSDN Premium software on it w/o any problems. 64 bit SQL Server developer edition...on and on. It is one very very sweet machine. I did have to take a lot of updates after I reinstalled Vista and put XP on it too, but I just let that run at night or on the weekend when i was in and out of the house. Big deal. Every OS that is preinstalled has the same deal. No more aggravating than waiting 8 hours for your iPhone to charge up for the first time after you buy it, but nobody gripes about that now do they??? do they??

What a crock of doo doo this whole Anti Vista campaign has been. The bloggers included. Even the windows bloggers.

It's a brand new OS, of course there are going to be a lot of stories on it.

The important thing to remember is when Vista was close to release, and Google and Apple and all other contenders had their hundreds of beta versions tearing it down and looking at it, you saw their reactioin to it.

Oh, yes indeed. Google ran out and released their half baked "Google Apps" Enterprise Edition. Talk about a bomb. No WAIT, NOBODY is TALKING ABOUT What a BOMB that was and is.

Even the free versions. the usage doesn't even register on the meter.

And what did Apple do? As early as 2006, at least, the CEO of APPLE, I won't go into his record of crime and devastating unethical behavior, got out there to start denouncing Vista. Such as needing new hardware, which was always a joke since he didn't bother saying your existing hardware wouldn't run OS X either. What a show of a megalomaniac running scared. The commercials were born of the same thing.

Yes, those 2 companies were obviously worried about Vista, so their take seemed to be that it was great, and here the bloggers can't find enough to nit pick about. They both rushed products out to try and slow it's adoption in any way they could, giving money to organizations put together to try and stop Vista etc.

Let's have the truth now. Vista is fine. SP1 mad it even better, a lot better. The great work being done for windows 7 is going into vista and Server 2008.

I LOVE Vista and programming on it is a awesome.

VISTA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
