It's a sad day in Hooterville.........
When not even one blogger or announcer know
what a "Standard" method of accomplishing a
task is.

Even considering OOXML as a "standard" is
like unto calling a car a "standard" for
driving on a highway. The standard is
driving on the right side of the road (in
the US), and driving on the left side (in
England. A car is NOT a standard. It is what
is being standardized. Trucks also use the
same road, and the same standard. Trucks do
NOT use the car as a standard way to drive.

When did our schools stop teaching the
definition of simple basic words, like
standard, format, open, closed, proprietary,
free, extortion, misrepresentation,
corporate, private, monopoly etc etc? Or is
it just that the students are incapable of
learning? Who wants to learn anything when
they have a keyboard with an internet
connection, eh?
