Seems very strange.
On the face of it Microsoft are saying "SP1 is good to go, but 3rd party drivers are causing some minor issues in a few cases, so we are making a 6 week catch up window for them to resolve issues".

Normally, they would just make it available with a notice about the problem (like NAME the drivers in question). This time, they are making everyone wait.

That makes me think that either

- the problem is bigger than they are saying.
- they want more time for some other reason, this is just smokescreen
- they absolutely don't want any reported problems when SP1 rolls. SP1 needs to be seen to be Vista cure all.
