PostgreSQL comes to mind
Couple others. This is a step in the right direction, especially getting rid of the CAL's, but I just don't trust MS. It's too little, too late.

Perfect example...I have a token Windows box on my home network. Haven't booted it in a while and noticed a new icon in the system tray. MSN Messenger. Microsoft just decided I needed that. It wasn't listed in Add/Remove programs. Too easy. I had to run GPEDIT where, if you know where to look, you can find options to NOT autoload MSN. That's the kind of silliness that makes me want to chunk my Windows box out the real window.

How do I know they're not going to pull the same type of shenanigans on my web server? For two more weeks I support a MS shop and they are constantly tweaking their environment. Things stop working in the wake of security bulletins and patch Tuesday. I've got high volume ColdFusion apps that have been running with barely a blip for six years.

VisualStudio is FrontPage on steroids, can't count the times I've had to reinstall that. Then the transition from 1.1 to 2.0 and now again to 3.0.

I've just had enough MS. There's just not anything compelling about IIS that makes it worth the risk of having MS crapping up your network.
