PLINQ Is Part of the Multi-Core Story
Microsoft is staffing up its Parallel LINQ (PLINQ) development group to take advantage of multicore processors in handling LINQ expressions (especially Group Join and Group By).

Joe Duffy has more information and a set of PowerPoint slides about PLINQ, which he presented to the Declarative Aspects of Multicore Programming (DAMP) workshop at POPL in January 2007.

This "PLINQ Gathers Momentum" post (http://oakleafblog.blogspot.com/2006/12/plinq-gathers-momentum.html) from December 2006 has more info on PLINQ.
