Microsoft innovation by accquisition

In the words of the song, "Same as it ever was"

That's "competition" monopoly style.

Most of Microsoft's software catalogue was purchased from the people who actually invented and developped it. Microsoft step in to buy when all the hard work is done. That's "innovation", Redmond style.
