Semantic discontinuity
It's not "cross-platform;" it still only runs on MS systems. However, it does work with non-MS browsers on MS systems.

That may well be Microsoft's definition of "cross-platform," but since not everyone uses Microsoft's definition yet it would be appreciated if journalists (not naming names, mind) were to mention the fact when writing on the subject until the world gets adjusted to the change.
