Not just the high end cards.
I recently bought a new PC with Vista and an nVidia 7600 GS card. With the installed drivers the card wouldn't maintain any color management settings I did. Exit the nVidia control panel and restart it and the settings were the same as before the change. Otherwise the PC performed pretty well with a Windows Experience Index of 4.2 where the low score was 3D graphics.

I updated the nVidia drivers to the latest released version. The coloro management problem was resolved but re-running the Windows Experirnce Index my PC now gets a score of 4.0 and the low score has changed to Windows Aero Graphics.

Now, I'm not a gamer and I don't really need blazing fast 3D graphics capability but I'd at least expect that a driver update wouldn't trash any basic Vista graphics capability and I'd expect that all the control panel functionality would have worked correctly from the begining.

This isn't the first time I've been frustrated with nVidia. About a year ago I had to down rev drivers for a 6200 card on XP because the current version wasn't stable. Looks like to me that nVidia just can't seem to write drivers for their stuff.
