- Both the cost of Office 12 (2007 Office) and the new user interface will cause some experimentation for existing users. Purchasers of new machines are very likely to look for Office 12 alternatives. If these people try office applications as web services, such as Google's, and like them, they will spread the word and MS is in trouble. If they don't like them MS is okay for now.
