Should "Patch Tuesday" updates include a free virus scan?
No, because if Microsoft was to offer such a service the other antivirus companies will cry about it and more antitrust issues will come up. I really don't think Microsoft would be able to do it from a legal stand point. There may also be an issue of conflicting scanners if someone is running mcafee or norton and then having Microsoft try to scan as well. I think it would be a mess.
