Keep It Simple Stupid is a principal that works and works well when trying to relate to consumers. By selling PC's based on it's ability to do task you are giving the customer the information that truly matters to them.

People are still confused by the ghz moniker that was an important metric of PC performance a few years ago and has now been dropped for number of cores and cache sizes. By relating to consumers based on task they expect their pc's to do you are empowering the consumer to make the right choice much easier than if you throw out a bunch of confusing specs that they really don't understand.
