The "hype" Apple gave it?

Apple sent out 2 notifications to the press. First there was an
announcement of the event date and then later there was a "post card"
invite that clearly marked it as a music event. Get something straight,
Adrian, Apple didn't hype this event - the press (bloggers mostly) did!

As to all of that, every September/October Apple introduces the next rev
of the iPod line and they always do it at a separate event like this. For at
least 2 years now the event has had its own invitations also. Anyone who
expected more from this event was buying or building hype - intellectual
vaporware with the emphasis on vapor and away from intellect!
