Yet more Microsoft Windows ActiveX Vulnerabilities?
Folks, the evidence is mounting.

Don't use Internet Explorer if you can help it.

The vulnerabilities continue to surface that exploit ActiveX driven web content, some of which are more than a year old and have not as of today's Tuesday Patch been fixed.

This is irresponsible on the part of Microsoft.

The intensity of concern for using IE has mounted to the point that a U.S. government agency is requesting that they be allowed to switch from IE to Mozilla's Firefox browser.

For those not aware, Firefox DOES NOT utilize ActiveX whatsoever.

A Firefox web browser equipped with Noscript and Adblock Plus plugins should keep you out of harm's way.

If at all possible, please consider alternative operating systems as I feel the very nature of Windows is 'defective by design'.

No amount of patches will ever resolve its unrelenting security issues.

If you haven't tried Ubuntu 9.04 Linux, the world's safest operating system, please take time and give it your full evaluation.

Ubuntu 9.04 Linux mops up the floor with Windows 7 and is absolutely, unequivocally SAFE for Internet use.

Thank you for taking the time to read another alternative viewpoint.
