Adrian:Use Intel much?
I appreciated your lineup, but noticed one glaring fact: while I can agree that Intel offers the best extreme processor in the i7 965 EE (for $1000), I noticed the glaring omission of any AMD parts. I think that if you pair a Phenom II quad core with an AM3 mobo for your midrange system, you will get performance along with something your solution does not have: to whit, upgradeability. You are pairing a CPU with an already outdated socket, the 775. I believe that the writing is already on the wall that Intel will not be supporting the 775 for much longer, whereas the AM3 is the socket for the forseeable future for AMD.
Just my $0.02.
