$29 OS Upgrade - Will MS Match Apple?
I read the posts on the Keynote and was fairly impressed with
most of Apple's releases. What really caught me, though, was
the $29 cost to move to Snow Leopard - or $49 for the Family
Pack that will upgrade 5 Macs. Is MS going to match that with
Windows 7?

I have an iMac that was killed by a power surge when the
electric company was working on the line so I'll probably go
with a new 13" MacBook Pro with the large monitor. That will
take care of both big screen and laptop computing as well as
providing a free iPod touch that my son-in-law will drool over.

I have another year on my iPhone, but am impressed with
Apple's work on the new phone and OS. Lots of sales heading
Apple's way on that one.

Overall Apple showed that it is nice to have a patch of money in
the bank to fund development during a recession.
