The menu for choice
I haven't tried Moblin myself, but your report sounds disappointing. Of course any interface should be application centered. What are they thinking?

Maybe Intel could provide a choice during installation of Moblin, what kind of interface you want. Some Linux distro's do just that: for example openSUSE asks during the installation, whether you want a Gnome, a KDE or an Xfce desktop. A feature that's still sadly lacking in Ubuntu.

For now, I think the Ubuntu Netbook Remix interface is a very good choice for netbooks. Same goes for the Linpus and Xandros interfaces.
