- Perhaps it's the licensing?
- Just a thought, but could the big deal be licensing? I'm no expert, but can most of us run an XP or other Windows OS on an existing XP or Vista install WITHOUT having 2 licenses? I'm talking only "legally", rather than "technically". It would seem that if MS allows this XP VM without requiring an additional OS license, it's a win for business users. At home, I have a scanner that won't work with Vista. Sure there are work-arounds, like dual-booting, but if I can just fire up a BUILT-IN XP VM in Win 7, it seems like they're taking away SOME of my reasons for staying with XP. Not that I cannot think of other reasons, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.
