There are many reasons why Vista has been a failure - and MS seem to be continuing the trend in W7 (although not the awful performance trend by all accounts).

If car makers released a new model with the handbrake jutting from the roof, readouts in the drivers side door panel, dials labelled in Esperanto etc people wouldnt buy it.

nuff said.
