Windows 7 heal thyself?
Anytime you swap out a mainboard in a system with an installed (microsoft)os, you have changed the HAL that was created when the OS is initially installed. That is why the system will (Likely) bluescreen or continuously restart. SOmetimes you can perform an in place reinstall (repair) from the installation cd and get back up and running, otherwise you must do a full format and re-installation. Next time try to use a virtual machine solution to try Windows 7, it worked for me.
