I'm underwhelmed by Ribbon controls.
I worked with a copy of Word 2007 that came with my new laptop during the 2 month trial period. It looks like they were trying to make text formatting simpler using the ribbons, but the older versions of Office are far easier to use. For now, I'm using Open Office, which still uses a button interface to control text formatting.
