Ho.Hum. Why can't we have a simple,easy-to-use desktop that just gets better and better, but still remains the same? Windows 3.1 was so easy to use...and all they had to do was just keep making it more and more powerful, and keep the same look and feel. I think that is why Mac users are so die-hard: anybody learning the Mac on the old LC-3 could opt all of a sudden for the latest and greatest OS X and had hardly any learning curve at all.
