It's up to MS to prove this version doesn't have any pork in it.
My advice, go back to the XP environments looks and feel. It's foolish to alienate your user base by forcing them to relearn how to get things done. Trying to compete the Mac's strong suit of cool user interface was just folly.
MS would need to update its looks with the new eye can, but keep things where folk expect it.
As for kernal, and legacy support, they should force the 64 bit environment and axe 16 bit completely.. I'm still on the fence if 32 bit support should be cast off..
