Something to think about.
Had gaming by some strange chance always been performed by touch screen and games had always been developed in this paradigm, would the same things be said about the interface if suddenly buttons were added to the iPhone?

The problem I see more commonly in tech every day are tech leaders boxing themselves in. There appears to me to be a growing trend in American tech were ingenuity and forward thinking is being replaced with me too - it cannot be done that way - thinking.

I'm searching for a reason why the addition of a web browser, a camera, a bit more memory, and a larger screen somehow pits the DS better against the PSP or even the iPhone and I just cannot see it. I get stuck, every time, at the point where I know that Nintendo never releases software updates to their portable consoles. If they address this and actually demonstrate that they are serious about adding functionality to a portable device via software rather than requiring the buyer to buy yet another version of the same thing, then Nintendo will be getting somewhere.
