It's about time this other shoe dropped
It's been anticipated for ages, in consideration of just how LONG the 360 has already been on the market.

Even at these price points MSFT should continue to make profit on the hardware; you would think that after three years production costs now would be a fraction of what they were at startup given how technological and manufacturing gains in tech quickly cheapen up the stuff they replace. Besides, MSFT's gaming group (and Nintendo's and Sony's like branches) makes most of its revenue (and profit) with the sale of the actual gaming titles, not the hardware.
