They must be joking
While those new technologies are great and have huge potential I do not see the mouse being fully replaced within the next five years. Hell we are still trying to kill off the floppy disk and they have had affordable alternatives for many years (burnable CDs/DVDs, flash media, etc..) Last year was the first year we ordered our new computers for the school district I work for without a floppy disk. Oh how the complaints rolled in. Many people still insisted they needed to use floppy disks and stated they had 100's of disks with data on them they needed.

So maybe in 5 years you will see PCs coming without a Mouse for home/personal use but businesses and schools are slower to adapt and will use legacy techologies for years to come.
