RE: (Hardware 2.0 Best Kit List for Jun/Jul 08)
As a high-end system builder I'd say you got most of it right. Well you got some of it right and other products seem like you wrote this months ago. The best Intel mid-range mobo is the Asus P5Q (p45chipset) which overclocks like a champ and runs only $130, fully supporting the latest Intel CPU's. What a bargain. The best graphics card out there is the EVGA GTX280 Superclocked. The best hard drive is the Velociraptor which smokes the RaptorX and if brave enough to run a pair in RAID 0 you will be shocked at the sheer speed of them. The best RAM for overclocking is Corsair Dominator DDR3 2000 (PC31600) and for budget DDR3 the SuperTalent W1600UX2G7 sells for $200 and overclocks past 2000MHz. The Thermalright Ultra-120 is still the best air cooler and at $60 is a bargain and allows higher overclocks than the models listed here. PC Power&Cooling makes the best power supplies although the gap is closing. The 860 watt PPCT860ESA at $330 is ESA certified and the PPCT860 can be had for around $230 which is an amazing bargain because it's the last PSU you'll ever need. Their single rail design is just better, the warranty is 7 years, and they outperform 1200 watt units. I know of what I speak so I thought I'd add my 2 cents here. Keep up the good work!
