Did you try
reading your dvd with a software that does not support DRM of any form and does not rely on windows infrastructure, like VLC ?

DId you try other DRM compatible software, like PowerDVD or the like ?

To me this sound like a poor implementation of HDCP where developpers/business prefered blocking to much rather than too little...

You can also try to update your video driver, as it is heavilly immplied in the HDCP chain
