I've had mixed feelings about Time Machine since it's release. While it is definitely
easy to install and generally runs without a hitch, the lack of control over it's
storage, lack of support for some devices, etc, make it hard or impossible to use in
many situations. For instance, I'm using it at home for back up three Macs to a 1GB
external drive attached to my "server." Unfortunately, the lack of control over
options pretty much means the server "wins out" in terms of space and crowds the
other machines when it comes to available room for the next backup.
Still, it is one of the more reliable solutions and I'm still using it. I hope Apple puts
a few more finishing touches on it though, particularly for small office settings.
