and how much did you pay to access this "article?"
Actually, I enjoyed the photo sequence - I haven't built a system from scratch in a few years (been into laptops since then, and there's no way to scratch-build a good laptop yet, unfortunately. Dell still has to do it for me.).

But I am considering building a file server for my home wifi network, which means getting an idea of what goes into a front-line tower system, something that can sling my data around as fast as the servers at my internet provider do. I have a choice of going with old hardware or getting new stuff. Now I know what a state-of-the-art tower system looks like inside.

If you buy $1,400 worth of PC hardware and have built a tower system before, I'd be willing to bet that the little sheets of paper which come with the hardware would have enough information on them to let you build the system.

And watermarking digital photographs before publishing them online is smart and not complex if you know how to use your imaging software. I bet the lady spent next to no time setting her software to place the watermark on every frame she processes ONCE, and no time at all letting her computer do all the work for her.

Sheesh. I could see being p.o.'d if we'd had to pay money to look at these pictures. I'm just impressed at what you can get for $1,400 these days. Not impressed enough, probably, to put down that sort of money for my home server when I have "good enough" in my parts box already, but it was a cool feature. Thanks for sharing the information, people.
