My Aeron Experience
The Aeron really is a great chair and one which has served my posture well. But I've had two particular problems with mine that were less than great.

First, the lumbar support pillow/brace. The grip where it attaches to the chair tends to wear over time (the material may become brittle) and break. So I haven't had any kind of lumbar support for a long time.

Second, the place where the chair meets the base. On mine the bottom of that base location broke through. This is the single point that bears all the weight from the chair so you would expect a much higher tolerance for stress here. My chair is the C size so it should be expected to hold a considerable bit more weight than my ~220 lbs. So now the chair is no longer height adjustable and sits extremely low. I've been able to live with this but it seems like the construction and/or design here was less than what was required.
