Precisely. When my Windows XP Pro, high-performance laptop died 1.5 days before a long trip out of town, I grabbed an old ThinkPad A21m out of the surplus pile, installed Kubuntu and WINE, and had all my critical apps up and running before I had to leave. After three weeks of using Kubuntu on the road, I'm sold. My replacement notebook will be running either Kubuntu or SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop. Bye, Bye, Bill...
