Do you realize how LONG AGO SuSE 8.0 was released? Criticizing Kubuntu 7.04 by referring to SuSE 8.0 is like criticizing VISTA using Windows 3.11.


Another excellent distro which is also based on Ubuntu but presents a KDE desktop is SimplyMEPIS 6.5. Here is a flash video discussing Linux by using MEPIS:

Ubuntu, Kbuntu and MEPIS use the same repostiories containing about 20,000 applications, all easily downloaded and automatically installed (or uninstalled) with a few clicks of your mouse.


Linux has coma a LONG way since SuSE 8.0. I run XP Pro as a guest os in MEPIS and it's easy to switch back and forth and see instantly how much better MEPIS is than XP in functionality and ease of use.
