Windows to Linux
I have tried switching to Linux twice now. The first time I bought the Suse8.0 disks and loaded it into my computer. Enjoyed the games but no software available for work (cnc programming and cad design). There was not even any pirate software that I could find. I just tried to load Ubuntu (not feisty fawn). Used winrar to expand the compressed software. But could not find files to install anything other than a lame preview of the software that would be loaded with the distribution. I guess I am so used to windows and the extensions on the files that I just can not change the way I look at the software. I hope Linux and open source continues. Personally I liked it a lot better than windows. But I need something I can use for work and right now there is not a lot out there that I can use.
