Expensive eye candy

I tend to agree as the keyboard is the last thing you look at whilst using it. I'm still using my trusty, old (noisy) IBM Modem M keyboard I've had since 1994!

Typically your eyes would be on the screen to see what is being typed, or to be able to play the game you're in the middle of. How many people actually look down at the keyboard (once using the keyboard effectively has been learned) whilst typing have a document or playing a first person shooter (especially in the case of an FPS game, as removing your eyes from the screen could be fatal to your game's character and your frag score)? Personally I'd invest that much disposable income (if I HAD that much disposible income) on some decent dictation software if I couldn't use the keyboard without looking at it constantly and buy a decent game controller and STILL have some change left over for the caffeine and pizza needed for late-night/early morning gaming sessions...
