Not worth it
There's not much reason from my perspective to
own a PSP Go. I have the 3000 and with WiFi I
can run off to the Sony store and buy games...
which is the only way you'll be able to play
anything with the PSP Go. Meaning, you'll be
cut out of the loop if a particular title
you're interested in isn't there.

This on top of the crazy price difference.

For all the experience Sony has in consumer
electronics, some of its decisions in the last
few years seem "odd". Such as severely delaying
the introduction of the PS3 on account of the
much ballyhoooed "cell processor". As if
consumers really give a rat's a** about CPU
architectures. Not even the tech industry cares
(RISC based laptop/desktop computer anyone?).

When I saw an interview where John Carmack of
id Software fame said the PS3 held no distinct
advantages over the XBox360, I knew Sony had
royally f*cked up.

That's just one example. Eschewing the MP3
format while insisting on proprietary DRM
solutions made Sony an also ran and allowed
Apple to take Sony's place this decade as far
as being kind of portable music (Sony having
made a big splash decades earlier with its
"Walkman" line of gear).

I've gone on a tangent. My point being, it's
hard to know just where Sony is trying to go
with the PSP Go and by not being consumer
friendly (price points), they risk alienating
customers.
