If the OQO were an Apple product...
With the low price small computers/netbooks available today is there still a market for highly portable, expensive devices like the OQO?

I would say yes, if it was an Apple product. Why Apple? Take a look at how much people paid for the iPhone when it first came out($500) and how much the MacBook Air costs despite the design sacrifices made just to perfectly fit it in a manila envelope. Apple would sell the OQO like hotcakes because they know how to market to their fanatics... er, customers.

But it's not, and it's intended audience isn't willing to pay a few months' salary for it when there more affordable and flexible alternatives.
