My Telus HTC Touch Diamond is fantastic.
The screen is the best you can get on a phone that will comfortably fit in your pocket, Opera is perfect with its support for 'on the fly' re-rendering of web pages and support for the incredibly intuitive multi-touch capacitance touch based zoom wheel, push email works flawlessly, gmail works flawlessly, and having access to the single largest library of 3rd party applications is a nice bonus. As a developer, I appreciate being able to write programs without having to ask for permission from either HTC or Microsoft and without having to pay Microsoft.

If what you are looking for is a touch screen, gesture based cell phone, go with the team that has been doing it longer and better than anyone else: Microsoft and HTC.
