You can't be serious?
However, the seat belt law (another one I am not sure is warranted)

I can tell you've never seen anyone ejected thru the windshield, or known someone who was killed when the car rolled over their body as it was hanging halfway out the window. I guess child seats are a joke, too? Study up on it.

When's the last time you had to dial a number on your CD or radio? For the most part all music takes is your ears, not eyes.

Once you change your CD or station (5 seconds?) your hands are free. How many 5 second phone calls do you make? Plus, you change your CD when it's convenient to you, but do people only call you when it's convenient to you? Do you block your field of vision by holding your CD or car radio up to your ear?

Dialing while driving: do you need to make that call that second or should you wait till it's safe?

The helmet law was repealed here in PA to the argument "I know the consequences, so it should be my decision to make". Is it a coincidence that head truamas and death have gone up in the period immediatelly afterwards? That's alot of medical time and money wasted on the preventable that should be focused on those that really have been hurt in something beyond their control

Why not see how this fares before complaining that it's a crock? I for one don't think the system should spend all that time and money on an accident that may have been prevented if the person had both hands on the wheel for 44 minutes and 50 seconds of the 45 minute phone call about something of importance on the level of who had the better looking outfit at the MTV awards.
