All tallk, no walk
Actions speak louder than words. Colligan the insurmountable task of steering Palm through a brutally competitive market, against more innovative adversaries. Palm's answer to iPhone other lethal threats is...a brain dead Linux laptop wanna-be (Foleo) and a tiny Treo designed for toddlers (Gandolf). Neither of which the market asked for or desires.

So, do forgive me if I cast doubts over Colligan's boasts coming from a company who rested on laurels it never received. It's one thing for a company that achieves nothing but success (such as Apple) to become hubristic. But a company that has executed so poorly and lagged so far behind the market, firing off one dud after another, to imagine presume success where failure exists is absolutely hysterical.

Palm has no change of reinventing itself and executing strongly until every vestige of the old guard management team is removed. It's time for Colligan, Hawkins, and the old cronies of Palm's yesteryears to go...replaced with young talent and fresh ideas.

Innovate or die. So far Palm is only doing the latter well.
