Jimbo's confused
Sounds like Jimbo is having trouble keeping track of all of his deals, money, partners, enemies, for-profit, and non-profit ventures. That would explain why when he e-mails you about official business of the Wikimedia Foundation, it comes from a Wikia.com e-mail address. Might explain why he doesn't think it's a conflict of interest to have 3,300+ outbound links from non-profit Wikipedia to his for-profit Wikia.com site -- even wikis that have fewer than 4 edits in the past month, which would make these links violations of Wikipedia's own "external linking" policy on wikis. It could possibly even explain why former Wikimedia board member and co-founder of Wikia.com is allowed and encouraged to edit the Wikipedia article about Wikia, even though this violates Wikipedia's "Conflict of Interest" guideline. Now he's confusing Wikiasari as some "new" idea, when DMOZ did it a decade ago. Tsk tsk.
