The first word that came to mind when I read the title of this article was "No!" But to be fair, I did read the rest of it. happy

I'm currently revising several of the portlets in our portal system as part of an effort to make an iPhone/mobile version of the portal. While it's an interesting process, I wouldn't call it fun. The "coolness" of the touch interface doesn't change the fact that it's another web platform you have to code for, and unless your site is ONLY going to be used by iPhone/iPod users, you have to make sure what you're doing will work on simpler mobile devices...I was going to say "less flashy", but the iPhone is about as un-Flash-y as you can get. happy
