Scared Competitors
I doubt most companies will sacrifice the reach of the Web, in order to reap the benefits of XAML ? by using XAML only solutions. For most companies contemplating XAML, having a web site will be basic ? for the sake of reach. These companies will simply augment their web sites with much more functional XAML applications. Therefore the EICS (at the behest of MS? competitors) is being a bit hysterical over MS? plans for XAML. Many of these guys are just sore that MS has found a way to bring back development to the desktop.
